Common questions
Pricing, Straight Up
What does "$65 off your first service" cover?
It is a straight discount off your first job, taken from the fixed quote, with no fine print tying it to one particular service. Just mention it when you book, and it comes off before you are charged.
Is the quote really free?
Yes, every quote is free, no matter whether the job goes ahead afterwards. We look at what is blocking the drain, explain what it will take to fix, and confirm the price before anything starts.
Do prices change once you start?
No, that is the whole point of quoting upfront: whatever we agree on the phone or at your door is what you pay, even if the job runs long. The only exception is if you ask for extra work on top of the original job.
Do you charge a call-out fee?
No, turning up to look at the job costs nothing, even if we don't end up doing any work. You only pay for the job itself, confirmed on the spot before we start.
Common questions
Who's Responsible for What
What is your lifetime labour warranty?
Every drain we clear or repair is backed by a lifetime labour warranty. Should that exact spot fail again through no fault but our own workmanship, we come back and fix it at no cost, with no time limit attached.
What standards does drainage work follow?
Drainage work in NSW is expected to meet AS/NZS 3500, the general plumbing standard, and it has to be carried out by a licensed plumber. We work to that standard on every job, from a quick clear right through to a full pipe replacement.
Can I clear a blocked drain myself?
A single slow-draining sink is usually fine to deal with yourself first. Anything more than that crosses into work a licensed plumber has to do under NSW law, and the wrong chemical or tool on an old pipe can make things worse.
Do wipes really block drains?
Yes, wipes are behind a huge share of the blockages we clear. Flushable wipes are not flushable, whatever the packet claims, and they snag on the tiniest imperfection in an ageing pipe until enough has gathered to stop the flow.
Common questions
When We Can Come
What counts as a drain emergency?
Waste coming back up through a fixture, water pooling around an outdoor grate that will not drain away, or several taps and drains acting up together, those are the ones we treat as urgent. One sluggish sink on its own can usually hold until a regular booking slot opens up.
How do I book?
Call (02) 9023 2087 and we will lock in a time, often for later the same day. If you would rather not call straight away, leave your details through the site and we will ring you back.
Are you really available 24/7?
Yes, someone genuinely picks up the phone at 2am the same as they would at 2pm, not a machine or a message bank. Tell us straight away if it truly cannot wait, and we will bump it up the list.
What happens after I call?
First we talk through what's going on and settle on a time to come out. On site, we agree the price up front, get stuck into the job, and leave everything as tidy as it was before we started.
Common questions
Working in and Around Roseville
What suburbs do you service?
Roseville is home turf, and we are just as regularly in Lindfield, Killara, Chatswood, Gordon and Pymble. If your street is not on that list, call anyway, because the answer is usually still yes.
Do tree roots cause many blockages around Roseville?
Yes, probably the single biggest cause we see here. Roseville's leafy streets mean plenty of established trees, and roots chase moisture into any pipe with a weak joint, especially the older clay ones.
Can you handle new builds and renovations here?
Yes, a lot of our work in Roseville is inside Federation-era homes mid-renovation, where new fittings get tied into a century-old clay line that was never built for today's load. We handle newer builds too, and can advise on drainage before or during a renovation.
How local are you, really?
We are in Roseville and the nearby Ku-ring-gai suburbs most weeks, not just when someone happens to call. Renovation work keeps us busy across the heritage housing stock here in particular, and it tends to pick up through the warmer months.
